The Shield is Revealed!

The Shield Assembly is the culminating step in a months-long shield-making process in a special elective class. This year, nine members of the graduating class designed and built an incredible class shield, and during a special assembly held on Monday, May 22, they finally shared the finished project with the entire school community.

The nine students also talked about their experience on the shield team — writing mottos, creating mini shields, working with tools in the workshop, painting and repainting the shield. We then screened a video of the shield-making process, written and edited by one of the team members.

The students are proud of what they were able to accomplish together, and their teacher, Mr. Lignier says he has no doubt the BHS community is proud of them, too. Congratulations to the Shield team of 2023 and all the graduating students in the eighth grade!
